Om Yoga & Wellness Center is all about helping you to feel comfortable in your skin.
Not only do our teachers have the most up-to-date certificates in their dharma, their life work, but they all practice what they preach. Keeping a sense of inner peace and fitness is something that they hold true to themselves. We hold them to the strictest requirements for certifications and knowledge, so that you can rest easy while you begin your new adventure on your mat with us here at OM. We are so grateful to have each person as part of the OM family.
SARAH SCHOLEY, owner, joined our team on June 15, 2016, and became owner July 1, 2017! Sarah started her journey of yoga in 2001 with an at-home prenatal practice. She fell in love with the breathing techniques she learned and the practice of yoga as part of staying healthy and fit. This inspired her to learn more about the beautiful art of yoga and its many benefits. With a desire to share her new love of yoga with others, she completed a Sport Yoga Instructor Certification in 2006 and began teaching at the Ponca City YMCA. Sarah added a Pilates Instructor Certification in 2013 and really enjoys teaching a combination of the two mind-body practices. In 2015, she completed a nine-month program of Yoga Lifestyle training with Kay Smith here at OM. Sarah is also a Licensed Massage Therapist with the state of Oklahoma and has been practicing massage with an emphasis on trigger point therapy and deep tissue since 2006.
KAY SMITH, founder, began her Yoga and Meditation adventure in 1980. Always having been very active, the practice made perfect sense. Being self taught through books - Lilias Folan on PBS! - it was not until the 90's that she began a structured regular practice. Reaping the benefits personally she pursued a 200 hour teacher training in 2000 through Yoga School of Nichols Hills and in 2010 at Yoga School of Therapeutics completing her 500 hour. She now holds the distinction of E-RYT500 (experienced, registered yoga teacher with the National Yoga Alliance at the 500 hr level). Kay's style of teaching has a strong Iyengar/Ashtanga influence feel to it. Her passion has been to encourage others to make healthy lifestyle choices to improve upon the quality of life, of each breath. Join Kay on Tuesday mornings for Sunrise Yoga at 6:00am or Wednesday afternoons for Restorative Yoga at 4:00pm or Yoga FUNdamentals at 5:30pm. Kay is also available for private sessions and teaching at special events by appointment.
She is an Oklahoma Licensed Massage Therapist and Raindrop Technique facilitator. Her favorite thought is by Carolynn Myss:

TERRI WRIGHT began her journey in 2002 practicing many styles of yoga. In 2005 she received her certification with Yoga Fit and in 2006 she pursued a 200 hour certification with Martin and Jordan Kirk. Terri now holds the distinction of E-RYT200 and teaches an Anusara style flow. Her philosophy is that ANY BODY can do yoga, be it school age students or student's in their 80's. She says one of the biggest joys of teaching is when your student finishes their practice feeling better than they did before their practice! Join Terri on Monday afternoons for Gentle Yoga at 4:00pm and Yoga Level 1-2 at 5:30pm.
MARLA SCOTT received her License of Massage Therapy from the state of Arkansas in 2000. With 17 years of experience, she offers integrative massage using several different modalities to bring you into deep relaxation or melt away tension. Her modalities include deep tissue, trigger point therapy, hot stone and Raindrop Technique.
Marla is currently available 4:00-7:00pm Monday through Friday and Saturdays 8:30am-Noon by appointment.
KIMBERLY MCCALL has had a passion for fitness since early childhood. Whether it be dancing, sports, running, or aerobics, she has always loved anything that works up a sweat. It wasn't until 2008 that she began to practice yoga and realized it was exactly what her body needed to balance out those high intensity workouts. Through the exploration of yoga she found the practice of PiYo. She immediately fell in love with the workout's ability to tone and stretch the muscles and work up a sweat- all at the same time! It's high intensity feel resonated with her in a way that no other workout ever had. Kimberly is now PiYo Certified and began teaching in 2016. She is motivated and ready to motivate you!
